Patience without losing your mind: Chapter 6 - PATIENCE AND PERSONALITY TYPES

Chapter 6 - PATIENCE AND PERSONALITY TYPES: Not everyone is born with patience, and that's okay.

Not everyone is born with patience, and that is perfectly fine. Some are naturally swift in judgment and execution; Others are imaginative and visionary; some are naturally analytical and precise, while others are nurturing and relationship-focused.

Not everyone is born with patience, and that's okay.

Not everyone is born with patience, and that's okay.

If we were all patient by default, we may never get any work done on time. Someone must innovate, someone must plan, someone must ensure work is being done, and someone must ensure the team is okay. This is the wisdom behind our different personality types.

In his book Surrounded by Idiots. Thomas Erikson gave the most comprehensive breakdown of personality types I have ever come across.

The correlation between personality and patience.

If you take a closer look at the traits, you will notice that the GREEN personality comes preinstalled with patience.

Other colors, especially RED and YELLOW, must first seek an internal transformation since patience is not hardwired into them.

The BLUE personality is a bit tricky; they can give the outward appearance of patience, but their desire for accuracy fuels their patience and not necessarily an inner stillness.

I don't know about you, but understanding these distinctions taught me a great deal about patience and why it comes naturally to some but not to others.

Before we conclude this series on patience, we will explore the final chapter. Chapter 7 - The Downsides of Patience.
